Everton winger Alex Iwobi has singled out Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara for praise after being asked about the five best players he played alongside during his time at Arsenal.

The Nigerian international was in the same team as the Finn at youth level before the Gers star left the Gunners for Dundee on a permanent basis back in 2017.

Iwobi feels that Kamara is not as highly regarded by others in the game as he should be, considering the ability that he possesses:

“I always say this one, Glen Kamara, the most underrated footballer. I remember back in the day me and him in midfield for our youth team.”

Iwobi also named Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil, his friend Chuba Akpom and Francis Coquelin on his list of players, so Kamara is in very good company.

The Finnish international’s performances have certainly been appreciated by Rangers fans since he arrived at the club in January 2019.

Kamara started his time at Ibrox in very good form, but he had begun to struggle in recent months, much like a number of his teammates.
