Beale Targeting 4 Cap England U21 Star Who Could Be Available For Cut Price Deal This Month

Rangers manager Michael Beale is keen on adding Norwich City winger Todd Cantwell to his first-team squad, according to reports in the Scottish media.

It is believed that the Light Blues are already exploring ways to snap up the Englishman, who has been capped four times at Under 21 level.

Cantwell signed a one-year contract extension when he returned from a loan spell at Bournemouth last summer, but that means he can already sign a pre-contract agreement with teams outside of England.

The Gers could well go down that route but it is believed that Beale would be keen on bringing in the 24-year-old this month if it is possible.

Considering Cantwell’s contract situation, he could well be available for a cut-price fee but there is an added complication to consider. Norwich have recently hired David Wagner as their manager, and if the German sees the midfielder as a key part of his first-team plans, the Canaries may try and persuade the player to sign a new deal.
