Austrian Shot Stopper Is ‘On A List’ Of Rangers Summer Transfer Targets

Rangers have not firmed up their interest in Schalke goalkeeper Martin Fraisl, according to the Daily Record.

There had been claims that the Scottish champions had proposed a pre-contract agreement to the Austrian, who is available on a free transfer in the summer.

However, it is believed that Fraisl is merely “on a list” of potential targets being considered by the Light Blues, who are looking at long-term replacements for current number one Allan McGregor.

The 40-year-old’s form this season has been very inconsistent and it is widely assumed that he will hang up his gloves at the end of the season when his current deal at Ibrox expires.

While Fraisl is being looked at, it seems that no agreement with the player is imminent. The shot-stopper is also reportedly on Norwich City’s radar so there is no certainty about where the 28-year-old will be playing his football next campaign.
