Rangers midfielder Bongani Zungu was one of the five players who broke lockdown regulations to go to a house party, it has been confirmed.
The South African international is only on loan from Amiens until the summer but the Gers can sign the player for £2.7m at the end of the season. However, after this incident, fans on Twitter believe he won’t be back next campaign:
You’d think that’s him finished now

Agree, not had much game time but this makes it an easier decision ??

He has never shown form worthy of the club spending the agreed fee of almost £3m in the summer to make his deal permanent. This indiscretion will result in him never wearing our jersey again.

Done nothing to suggest the 2.7mil fee was realistic

With the fee to buy at . £2.7 million i think he was gone anyway especially when the Bournemouth lad comes in .

He never showed he was good enough on the park and now this has proved that he doesn't have what is required to be at our club

Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd has gone as far as to say that Zungu has played his last game for the Light Blues, and it looks like that is the case.
Whether Rangers have the ability to terminate the loan deal early, we shall have to wait and see, but the likelihood of him being involved in any matchday squad is very unlikely.
Zungu had struggled to establish himself since he arrived in Scotland back in October anyway and this breach of protocol has likely sealed his return to France.
