Rangers do not have a purchase option in forward Florian Kamberi’s loan deal from Hibernian and one of the main decisions in the summer will be whether to try and snap up the 25-year-old on a permanent basis.
Unlike with Ianis Hagi, where a £4m fee has been agreed, the Gers and Hibs would have to negotiate a transfer. An asking price of £1m has been reported and fans on Twitter have been debating what sort of fee the club should look to offer:
Worth a gamble yes.

Yes. We signed the likes of Hastie, Barker and Jones for showing far less promise.

£100k as a 3rd/4th choice striker.

Depends on the price

Absolute no brainer on this one, I been a fan of him for years, this lad has a lot to his game always showing hunger, can hold the ball up well , not scared to run at defenders and knows where the goal is.

Anything more than £100k is a no no

To be fair he’s impressed me a lot more than I expected.

Good squad player/cover if he’s going cheap, bags of enthusiasm and effort.

Would make a descent squad player at right. price

100% sign him, hes proven he’s worth a gamble as a back up striker at the very least

Kamberi’s one goal and one assist in eight games doesn’t really tell the full story. The Albanian has been used as a substitute by manager Steven Gerrard on a regular basis, and he has made an impact on almost every occasion he has been called up.
Certainly, though, the Rangers’ backroom staff would have liked more time to assess whether the forward is a worthwhile purchase, but the suspension of the season due to the pandemic may mean they won’t get that opportunity.
