Wilson Targeting Two South American Midfielders As Rangers Look To Strengthen Key Area Of The Pitch

Rangers director of football Ross Wilson is tracking two Colombian midfielders, according to reports in the UK.

Cortulua defensive midfielder Andres Colorado and Junior FC’s Fabian Angel are both believed to be on the club’s watchlist as the Light Blues look to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.

Both Colorado and Angel are not particularly experienced players so they are likely seen as having the potential to develop in the future.

It appears the Gers have strong connections in Colombia, with it being reported recently that the Scottish Premiership champions are eyeing a deal for America de Cali winger Santiago Moreno.

The changes in work permit rules following the UK’s exit from the European Union mean players from South America are likely to be more attractive to British clubs, although it’s unlikely that Colorado would have collected enough points to qualify for a visa as things stand. Angel, on the other hand, has played in the Copa Libertadores this year, so he could be eligible.
