Wilshere Returns To Training Amid Reports Of Possible Rangers Switch

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is training by himself as he bids to win a contract with a new club following his release by West Ham.

The Twitter account of his youth academy have shared a video of the former England international joining in with a training drill as he looks to keep up his fitness:

Rangers have been heavily linked with Wilshere over the past few weeks and, despite reports that the player is open to moving to Ibrox, talks have not taken place between the two parties yet.

There are, of course, some big hurdles to overcome if the Light Blues are to sign the 28-year-old. The midfielder’s injury record is very poor and a break clause may need to be inserted into his contract to allow the Gers to offload him if he struggles to stay fit.

Another factor will be his wages, and the only sensible route for the Scottish club would probably be a pay as you play deal, but there is no guarantee Wilshere would accept such an agreement.
