“Will Be All Over Him…” Pundit Claims Danish Ace (Who’s Been linked With Arsenal & Liverpool) Could Be Rangers Target

Rangers should be targeting FC Midtjylland winger Gustav Isaksen, according to pundit Tam McManus.

The Danish Under 21 international has been in excellent form this season, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists in 34 appearances, and McManus thinks he could be an excellent addition to Michael Beale’s squad:

“Isaksen is a young player, a 21-year-old. He’s played a lot of games for Midtjylland already in Denmark and scored a few goals in the Europa League. I’m absolutely certain Rangers will have scouts everywhere and watching a lot of games. I’m sure that if a young player is doing well at a smaller club in Denmark, I’m absolutely sure Rangers will be all over him.”

The right flank has been a major weakness over the past few years. The likes of Kemar Roofe, Ianis Hagi, Fashion Sakala and Rabbi Matondo have all been deployed there with varying degrees of success.

However, Beale may well use the summer transfer window to bring in a standout player who could nail down the position for years to come.

Isaksen would certainly be a strong candidate but, it must be said, that the Dane has also attracted interest from English clubs. Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been mentioned as potential suitors this season, although no formal approaches have been made. We shall see if the Gers do consider a move for the forward.
