‘What A Waste Of Everyone’s Time’ ‘Ignore The Noise’ Rangers Fans Respond As Charge Against Gerrard Is Dropped

The Ibrox Stadium.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has had a charge against him dropped by the SFA following a comment he made after the 4-0 win over Dundee United last month.

The Gers boss remarked on a poor challenge made by defender Ryan Edwards on Alfredo Morelos which went unpunished, suggesting if things were the other way around, it may have led to a different outcome.

After looking at the comments, the SFA’s disciplinary panel decided that the case was unproven against Gerrard. Supporters on Twitter were wondering why the charge was brought in the first place:

Going by Rangers’ own statement after the verdict, it seems the club were equally perplexed as to why the SFA had decided to make such a big deal out of a rather innocuous comment.

In any case, Gerrard will be glad not to have that hanging over his head as he looks to guide his team to victory in a huge Old Firm derby this weekend.
