Rangers have confirmed that winger Jordan Jones has joined English League One side Sunderland on loan for the rest of the season.
The Northern Ireland international has only made four appearances for the Light Blues this season and he hasn’t played since an incident in November which saw him suspended for seven games after breaking quarantine protocols.
Jones’s talent is not disputed but his attitude has been called into question, and the majority of supporters on Twitter are not unhappy that the 26-year-old has been allowed to leave:
What a waste. Guy had it all.

What a disappointment. Was really excited when we signed him and against Motherwell earlier in season looked sharp. But his attitude is stinking and that’s why he’s away on loan. Meds a good shake that boy

The shirt was too big for him. Bags of talent. Covid rules break was the end of him. Edmunstone will follow once fit… Bad call going to the party

Hopefully has a good season and makes the club some cash back shame player with good potential

Manager Steven Gerrard hasn’t completely ruled out keeping the winger if he performs well on his loan at the Stadium of Light. However, the impending arrival of Scott Wright from Aberdeen seems to suggest there isn’t any future for the Northern Irishman.
Wright has already signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Gers in the summer but there is still some hope he could move to Ibrox before the transfer window closes on Monday.
