West Brom Join Two Other English Clubs In Race To Sign Rangers Defender

West Bromwich Albion have joined Fulham and Leeds in pursuing Rangers defender Connor Goldson, according to reports in the English media.

The 27-year-old has come to the attention of the Baggies’ scouts who have been impressed by the centre-back’s performances for the Light Blues so far this campaign.

Slaven Bilic’s side are top of the Championship but they are looking at bringing reinforcements at the back, after conceding 31 goals in 28 league games. They would like to sign Goldson this month but they aware that they may have to wait until the end of the season to get their man.

The centre-half has been one of Rangers’ best performers, with the Scottish club having only conceded 11 goals in the Premiership this campaign, and manager Steven Gerrard will no doubt be determined to keep hold of the player this month.

Goldson is an integral part of the Gers’ starting line up and letting him go would undoubtedly damage the club’s title challenge.
