Rangers attacking midfielder Alex Lowry impressed for Scotland’s Under 21 despite losing 2-1 to Iceland last week.
The 19-year-old has played just six minutes for the first team this season, coming on as a late substitute in the 3-1 home defeat to Napoli earlier this month.
Considering the Gers have been so poor in the final third, many supporters on Twitter feel that Lowry should be given an extended run in the starting lineup:
More creativity in this boy than the entire starting 11 we're used to seeing, combined. We're crying out for a player like this!

God knows. Instead he wants to start Arfield over him

The main reason why Lowry hasn’t featured more often this campaign is due to a major knee injury that he sustained after a horrendous challenge in a game for Rangers’ B side against Dumbarton back in August.
The teenager is, however, available now, and it will be interesting to see whether Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s successor decides to use him more regularly as the season goes on. He certainly appears to possess the quality to make it at first-team level.
