‘Underwhelmed’ ‘Both Horrendous’ ‘Lazy Recruitment’ Fans Deliver Verdict As Rangers Line Up Two Summer Signings

Rangers are said to be closing in on the signings of Crystal Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland and Norwich attacking midfielder Kieran Dowell.

Butland is set to leave Palace when his contract expires at the end of the season. He is currently on loan at Manchester United but the Gers could well secure his services on a free transfer. Norwich have already confirmed that Dowell will become a free agent at the end of June.

The Gers are believed to be keen on securing the services of both players but it is fair to say that fans on Twitter are not convinced that either is good enough to play for the Light Blues:

Butland may only be 30 years of age but he hasn’t been a regular starter for three years so it is understandable that supporters are sceptical about his abilities.

The situation is slightly different with Dowell. He is a first-team player for Norwich but injury has cut his season short. It will be hoped that he can put his fitness issues behind him if he does end up making the switch to Ibrox.
