Galatasaray are considering Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos as a possible target before the transfer window closes, according to Aksam.

The Turkish publication reports that the Colombian international is one of two alternatives if the Super Lig side can’t manage to secure the signing of Monaco forward Radamel Falcao.

Reported Rangers target Moussa Konate is also in Galatasaray’s sights, but the Turkish side’s transfer committee is said to favour a move for Morelos if a deal for Falcao can’t be agreed.

The Gers striker is believed to have an £18m asking price, and it remains to be seen if the Turkish champions would have the resources to match the Scottish club’s valuation.

With only a few days left before the transfer deadline, it wouldn’t leave Rangers with very much time to find a replacement if Morelos does depart, so it’s more likely than not that the 23-year-old will be staying in Scotland.
