‘Tops My List’ ‘Quality Player’ ‘Not Prolific Enough For Me’ Rangers Fans Discuss Potential Favourite To Replace Morelos

With it looking increasingly likely that Alfredo Morelos will be leaving Ibrox this summer, talk has quickly turned to who could be the Rangers striker’s replacement.

Anderlecht forward Kemar Roofe’s name has been bandied around in recent weeks and supporters on Twitter have been debating whether the 27-year-old would be the right signing:

Roofe did have a couple of excellent seasons at Leeds, scoring 29 goals in 73 games, but it must be pointed that he started his career as a winger before only recently being converted into a striker.

There are also concerns about his injury record, having spent most of his first campaign at Anderlecht on the treatment table, with ankle and calf injuries restricting him to just 13 appearances.

Especially with Jermain Defoe’s current fitness woes, it would be a risk by manager Steven Gerrard to replace Morelos with someone who could spend a signification portion of the season on the sidelines.
