Rangers legend Brian Laudrup has raised his concerns about Aaron Ramsey’s fitness record and whether he can still make an impact for the Bears this campaign.

Writing in his column for Daily Mail before it was confirmed that Ramsey will miss tomorrow’s league game against St Johnstone, Laudrup was already claiming that the Welshman’s loan move to Ibrox is in danger of ending in failure:

“The fact Aaron Ramsey again didn’t make the squad as he tries, I assume, to get to the right condition after his well-publicised injury issues at Juventus. No one doubts Ramsey’s huge quality but time is running out for this loan move to be effective. The Wales star has not been able to make the difference many hoped he would.”

Ramsey has only been available for four of the Gers’ eight matches since his arrival in Scotland back in January, and there are only so many more games between now and the end of the season.

The former Arsenal midfielder has had injury problems throughout his career, and it was always a risk in terms of bringing the 31-year-old to the club for that reason.

However, it will be hoped that Ramsey will be back in contention when the Scottish champions face Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon.
