The Six Key Accusations Rangers Have Made Against The SPFL Have Been Revealed

Rangers have handed their dossier over to member clubs as they look to convince them that there was wrongdoing on the part of the SPFL in the vote that has effectively ended the Scottish league season.

The Scottish Sun claims to have obtained the evidence and they have summarised the six main accusations that the Gers have made:

1) SPFL Lawyer Rod McKenzie blocked a resolution proposed by Rangers and even handed four ‘cease and desist’ requests to Gers chairman Douglas Parks.

2) SPFL Executive Neil Doncaster held back key information from clubs before the voting process took place.

3) Doncaster accepted a below market value sponsorship deal from Sky Sports for next season.

4) Clubs will be liable for up to £10m in refunds to Sky Sports and BT Sport if the current campaign isn’t completed

5) They ask why a letter was sent to UEFA stating clubs wanted the season to be ended prematurely before the vote was conducted.

6) There are more questions about Dundee’s decision to make a u-turn in voting for the SPFL resolution.

Deloitte have already conducted an independent investigation into Dundee’s vote but Rangers want a far more extensive second probe to look into their claims.

An EGM meeting of the SPFL has been called by the Light Blues, Hearts and Stranraer, which will be held next week, but they will need 75% (32 clubs in total) to agree with them that the accusations deserve further investigation.
