Source Close To Slovakian International Reveals Rangers Are “Very Interested” In Signing Him

Rangers are very keen on snapping up Racing Genk midfielder Patrik Hrosovsky, according to a source in the player’s entourage. Speaking to website isport.cz, they said:

“Rangers are very interested in Patrik.”

It is believed that the Light Blues are looking to sign the Slovakian international on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy. However, Genk would like the player to leave on a permanent basis and are currently demanding €4m (£3.6m).

That figure is outside of Rangers’ price range and it remains to be seen whether the two sides can come to a compromise over a potential deal.

Hrosovsky is not part of Genk’s first-team plans, with the 28-year-old having not featured in any of the Belgian club’s first four league games. A departure is not seen as inevitable, though, as there could be a change in manager in the not too distant future after a poor start to the campaign.
