Sky Sports Pundit Names 7 Rangers Stars In His Team Of The Season

Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker has named seven Rangers players in his Scottish Premiership team of the season.

Goalkeeper Allan McGregor, captain James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Borna Barisic, Steven Davis, Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent all made the eleven.

However, Walker controversially picked three Celtic stars despite their woeful form this season, with the likes of Kristoffer Ajer, David Turnbull and even Odsonne Edouard being selected. Hibernian’s Kevin Nisbet was the final name on the teamsheet.

As a former Celtic striker, it is understandable that Walker was reluctant to select an entire eleven of Rangers players but that is what most Bears fans would have done, considering their flawless performances in the league.

Steven Gerrard’s side have still not lost in 35 games, winning 29 and drawing six. The fact that they have only conceded 12 goals in that time is also a tremendous achievement. The Gers will be hoping to keep their spotless record intact when they face rivals Celtic in the last Old Firm derby of the season on Sunday.
