Lazio have revived their interest in Rangers attacking midfielder Ianis Hagi, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Romanian international was linked with a move to the Serie A side even before he sealed his permanent switch to Ibrox last summer, with the club’s sporting director Igli Tare said to be a big fan.
Lazio are believed to be keen on overhauling their forward line, with Felipe Caicedo tipped to leave the Stadio Olimpico, and Hagi is being considered as a possible option for a new-look front three.
The 22-year-old’s impressive season with the Light Blues has, though, led to interest not only from Lazio, but from English Premier League clubs as well, so there could be a number of teams looking to sign him in the summer.
It is claimed that Hagi is worth around the €10m (£8.6m) mark, which is more than double the fee that the Gers paid for the midfielder last July.
