“Seems About Right…” Hutton Claims Rangers Would Accept 10M Bid For 26 Year Old Midfielder

Rangers would likely sell Glen Kamara for £10m if they received such an offer during the January transfer window, according to Alan Hutton.

The ex-Gers defender says that, while he would prefer the 26-year-old to remain at Ibrox, it would present a decent markup on the amount they paid for the player almost three years ago:

“£10m seems about right. Don’t get me wrong it’s money well spent, they only forked out £50k for him, to get £10m in I think is an unbelievable price. Me, personally, I don’t want to see any good players leave the club, especially with the direction they’re moving in, Champions League and so on, so I’d like to see him stay. If he feels that his future is elsewhere you want the most money in and I think £10m would be acceptable.”

Kamara once again expressed an interest in moving to the Premier League during an interview with a Finnish media outlet whilst he was away on international duty so it appears his exit is likely to happen sooner rather than later.

Aston Villa are said to be the frontunners for his signature at the moment, with former manager Steven Gerrard reportedly keen to link up with the midfielder once again. Nice also came close to snapping him up before deadline day earlier this month.

Other teams, including Arsenal, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Brighton have also been credited with an interest in Kamara over the past twelve months, so we shall see who tables an offer in the New Year.
