Rivaldo Names The Rangers Star He Thinks Will Move With Gerrard To Liverpool

Brazilian legend Rivaldo thinks Rangers attacking midfielder Ianis Hagi could well move to Liverpool if Steven Gerrard becomes manager of the Reds in the future.

Gerrard has spoken out against reports that he will succeed Jurgen Klopp at the English club as and when the German leaves the Premier League champions. However, Rivaldo says he is certain it will happen at some point, and he believes Hagi could go with him:

“I am sure Gerrard will go to Liverpool one day and maybe Ianis Hagi could make the step with him and follow him to Anfield.”

It’s all pretty speculative as Gerrard may well be years away from taking over at Liverpool, and Hagi could have already moved on to pasture’s new by then.

Rivaldo’s close relationship with Hagi’s father, Gheorghe, means he does take a keen interest in the 22-year-old’s future. When he wasn’t playing regularly before Christmas, he spoke out to say that the Romanian should leave Ibrox.

Since then, though, the playmaker has excelled, having scored seven goals and contributed 12 assists in 37 appearances this season.
