REPORT: EPL Sporting Director In Stands To See £20m Rated Rangers Star In Action Against Hearts

Crystal Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman was in the stands to see Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos play against Hearts at the weekend, according to the Scottish Sun.

The Eagles have been compiling scouting reports on the Colombian this season and Freedman was reportedly sent to assess the forward in person ahead of a possible January bid.

Palace are said to be weighing up a £20m offer for Morelos, and the striker would have impressed observers after scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Tynecastle.

Rangers are said to be unwilling to listen to offers for the forward in January, despite there being a number of English clubs believed to be interested in the 23-year-old.

Aston Villa are another team reportedly keen, although manager Dean Smith refused to be drawn on the speculation when he was asked about Morelos last week.

Gers fans will be hoping that the Colombian international stays at Ibrox to spearhead their title challenge, after scoring 15 goals in all competitions this campaign.
