Rangers fans will be delighted to hear that popular midfielder Ryan Jack has signed a contract extension with the Light Blues. The new deal will keep him at the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Jack has been a key member of the Rangers squad for over half a decade now. His limitless stamina, combined with his no-nonsense tackling, have made him a fan-favourite at the Ibrox Stadium.

On his new deal with the Gers, Jack said [via Rangers’ official club website]: “I am obviously delighted with it, it has been in the background for a little while. I am delighted to get it done before the summer and I can go and focus over the off-season.

I have played for the club for a number of years now, I love playing for the club and I love being here. I’m settled and my family are settled so when I initially spoke to the manager and he said he wanted me to stay it was a no brainer.”

The 31-year-old began his career at Aberdeen – he joined the Dons’ youth academy all the way back in 2000. In 2010, he made his senior debut for the club against, funnily enough, Rangers.

In total, Jack made 199 appearances for Aberdeen, scoring 11 goals. In 2017, he made the jump to join his boyhood club, signing an initial three year deal.

During his time with the Gers, Jack has made 111 appearances, scoring a total of 11 goals. Additionally, during his stay, he has won a Scottish Premiership title, a Scottish Cup and he also helped guide the club to the Europa League final in 2022.

Moreover, Jack has also received a handful of caps for Scotland. Overall, he has won 14 caps for his country, despite not scoring a single goal for the Tartan Army.
