Report DENIES That Rangers Are Pursuing Deal For Dutch Wonderkid

Rangers are not involved in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Xavi Simons, according to the Scottish Sun.

Reports had suggested that the Light Blues had already been in contact with the agent of the 18-year-old but it is believed that the Scottish champions are not looking to snap up the youngster.

It was thought that Gers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst was the one pushing for the club to sign his fellow Dutchman. However, it appears there are no talks taking place over a prospective move at the moment.

The teenager is expected to leave PSG when his contract with the Ligue One side expires at the end of the season. His representative, Mino Raiola, is reportedly actively looking for potential suitors.

Simons moved from Barcelona’s youth academy in 2019 and, while he has made his senior debut for PSG, he has not played a game for the first-team this season. A move back to Barca is believed to be a possibility.
