“Really Happy…” 5M Rated Midfielder Drops Subtle Transfer Hint When Asked About Rangers

Malik Tillman says he is “very comfortable” at Rangers but he stopped short of saying that he is keen on joining the Light Blues on a permanent basis.

The American international is on loan from Bayern Munich until the end of the season, but there is reported to be a £5m purchase clause included in the deal. When asked about his future, Tillman said:

“I just want to play as much as possible. To me, it’s relatively unimportant where that is. I feel comfortable here, in fact very comfortable. I bring my performances which I think Rangers are really happy with. But I could also imagine the same with the people at Bayern. So… we’ll see.”

An option to buy means that it is up to the Gers to trigger the purchase of the player. However, in reality, it is difficult to do this without the approval of Tillman himself.

The 20-year-old is definitely enjoying his time at Ibrox but he does appear to be keeping his options open in terms of a return to Bayern.

It could be a simple reason for that, though. It was reported back in the summer that Bayern have their own buyback clause that can be triggered once Tillman seals his move to Scotland, so the midfielder’s remarks are likely designed to ensure he doesn’t burn any bridges with his parent club.
