Rangers Told They Could Snap Up Spanish Teenage Sensation For Just 1.7M

Racing Santander could be prepared to sell attacking midfielder Pablo Torre for between €2m (£1.7m) and €2.5m (£2.1m), according to reports in the Spanish media.

Rangers were linked with the 18-year-old last week, and it is believed the Scottish champions are one of four teams pursuing the player after being impressed with his performances.

Torre made his senior debut for Santander against Portugalete in October last year and he has since gone on to make 42 appearances, scoring seven goals and contributing 11 assists.

Real Sociedad are also reportedly keen on the teenager, along with the likes of Real Madrid and Valencia. He does have an €8m (£6.7m) release clause but Santander are weighing up a potential sale for below that amount due to their poor financial situation.

The asking price isn’t exactly sky high so the Gers will be able to compete for the playmaker’s signature, but we shall have to wait and see whether he’d be prepared to leave Spain.
