Rangers Tipped To Make Formal Offer For Algerian International After Making Enquiry

Rangers have expressed an interest in signing Stade Brestois holding midfielder Haris Belkebla, according to France Football.

The French magazine claims that the Gers could “quickly make an offer” for the Algerian international as manager Steven Gerrard looks to build his squad ahead of next season.

The Light Blues boss has recently said that plans are in motion for bringing in new signings this summer, and it seems Belkebla could well be one of those additions.

There is competition for the 26-year-old from another team, though, with France Football also claiming that Lens have made an enquiry about the player’s availability. The recently promoted club are looking to reinforce their options ahead of the new campaign.

Belkebla does have two years remaining on his contract at Stade Brestiois so the Ligue One side are under no pressure to sell the Algerian.

The defensive midfielder was a regular starter last season, making 23 appearances as his side finished 14th in the table.
