Rangers Targeting January Swoop For Ghanaian Marksman As Wilson Eyes Morelos’s Replacement

Rangers are likely to make a move for Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo when the transfer window reopens, according to reports.

The Ghanaian international, who has also been linked to Celtic, is likely to be on the market in January due to his contract situation.

While his club do have an option to extend his stay for another year, Semenyo’s current deal expires in June. He could, therefore, be available at a decent price.

Even though the Gers are still without a manager, Director of Football Ross Wilson is looking to recruit a potential replacement for Alfredo Morelos.

The Colombian is unlikely to be at Ibrox for much longer, having rejected the Light Blues’ offer to extend his contract beyond the summer.

It must be said, however, that Semenyo’s goal return isn’t that impressive. He has only scored four goals in 18 appearances for the Robins this season, which is actually pretty similar to Morelos’s record.
