Rangers Target Summer Move For 6ft 6 Powerhouse After Scouting Trip

Rangers have been scouting AGF centre-back Thomas Thiesson Kristensen, according to The Scottish Sun.

Reports in Denmark had linked the Light Blues with the 6ft 6 defender on Thursday and those claims have now been corroborated.

Kristensen is a player that Gers representatives have been keeping an eye on since the Danish Superliga restarted back in February, with AGF having kept two clean sheets in three matches.

It’s likely that the 21-year-old is being considered as a replacement for Filip Helander. The Swedish centre-half has not played for nearly a year due to a foot injury and he is out of contract at the end of the season.

His former club Malmo have already suggested that they may consider signing him on a free transfer, leaving a spot open for another centre-back in Michael Beale’s squad.

Kristensen does have limited experience at senior level, having only played 38 first-team games, but it appears Rangers scouts have seen something in him.
