Rangers Summer Signing Is Already ‘Unhappy’ At Ibrox With Three Clubs Chasing His Signature Ahead Of January

Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz is “unhappy” in Scotland and may consider a return to Turkey, according to Takvim.

The Turkish news outlet claims that injury problems, the language barrier and the fact that his girlfriend lives in Istanbul have all contributed to him failing to settle at the Light Blues.

Former club Besiktas are keeping tabs on his situation with it being reported that the Super Lig side would be Yilmaz’s “first choice” if he does leave Ibrox during the January transfer window.

Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are also said to be keen on the fullback, who has failed to convince manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst that he should start ahead of Borna Barisic.

Yilmaz was handed a couple of starts versus Dundee and Napoli recently but a serious hamstring injury means he will not be available again before the World Cup. We shall have to wait and see whether a departure in the New Year is on the cards.
