Rangers Star Scores Against Brazil As He Continues To Flourish On International Stage

Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo scored the opening goal in Nigeria’s friendly against Brazil in Singapore today. The 23-year-old danced around a couple of Brazilian defenders before calmly slotting the ball past Manchester City’s Ederson.

It has been an incredible beginning for the Gers star at international level. He bagged a goal on his debut for Nigeria in a 2-2 draw against Ukraine last month and cemented his place in the squad as a result.

Aribo has been slightly less prolific at club level since arriving from Charlton on a free transfer in the summer. While he has scored three goals in eight Europe League appearances this campaign, he has yet to score in a league game.

The midfielder’s only goal domestically came in the 3-0 win against East Fife in the League Cup tie back in August. He was an unused substitute against Hamilton last time out and he will be hoping his form at international level will force him back into Steve Gerrard’s starting line up.
