Rangers’ Pursuit Of Ryan Kent Takes Another Significant Twist

Rangers could still be in with a chance of signing Ryan Kent on loan this summer, according to reports in England.

It is believed that those close to the Liverpool winger don’t think a permanent move away from Anfield is likely.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp ruled out Kent leaving on another loan spell earlier this week but it is unlikely that any club will meet the Merseyside club’s £10m asking price.

If he remains with the Premier League side beyond England’s transfer deadline on August 8th, it could significantly improve Rangers’ chances of getting him in for another year.

Leeds, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough are all said to be keen on Kent but if they can’t match Liverpool’s valuation, a loan move will become the only option.

The 22-year-old could stay in the Reds’ youth setup, but that would hardly be seen as a productive solution for the player.

If Liverpool do eventually decide to loan him out again, Rangers would be the team in pole position to get it over the line. This saga still has some time to run it appears.
