Rangers Pursuing 36 Cap International Midfielder Who Can Join For Free NEXT MONTH

Rangers are interested in signing San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Jan Gregus, according to reports.

The Slovakian, who has been capped 36 times by his country, will be free to join another club on January 1st when his contract expires.

Gregus only moved from Minnesota United just under a year ago and he had a good start to his time in San Jose, bagging seven assists in his first eight appearances.

However, things did start to go downhill a bit after such a bright beginning. He made no further goal contributions for the rest of the campaign, and he was an unused substitute in three of the last six league games.

Considering his rather underwhelming spell with San Jose, you would think that the Gers wouldn’t have too much competition for Gregus’s signature, but it is believed that none other than Ligue One side Rennes are considering an approach for the player. We shall have to wait and see who wins the race to sign him.
