Rangers’ Predicted XI To Face St Joseph’s In The Europa League

It may be early in preseason but Rangers’ first competitive fixture is already here as Steven Gerrard’s side kick off their Europa League campaign this evening.

The Gers are facing Gilbraltar side St Joseph’s in the first leg away from home, but the Scottish club should be confident of getting a comfortable win.

It can be difficult to be firing on all cylinders so early after returning to training but Gerrard’s men have had a good pre-season training camp in Portugal.

A 5-0 win over Oxford United on Saturday in a friendly will surely hold them in good stead for their European tie.

Daniel Candeias is a surprise omission from the squad, while Jon Flanagan and Jamie Murphy are not available due to fitness issues. New signings such as George Edmundson, Jordan Jones and Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo look ready to slot straight into the starting lineup.

However, it may come too early for Joe Aribo who may need some more time to get up to speed after arriving midway through the camp in the Algarve.
