Rangers Poised To Lose Out To Continental Rival In Battle For Former Manchester United Player

Rangers have been beaten to the signing of former Manchester United attacking midfielder Dion McGhee, according to multiple reports in England.

It was believed that the Light Blues, along with Belgian club Antwerp and English Championship side Derby County were vying for the 20-year-old’s signature but Sporting Braga are thought to have won the race for the player.

McGhee left United back in July after failing to make the breakthrough into the first team at Old Trafford. He has since been on trials with other clubs but it seems he has finally agreed a move to Portugal.

Under the guidance of Director of Football Ross Wilson, Rangers have been looking to target more hidden gems who could turn into stars in the future. They are also said to have a deal in the works for FC Honka’s young Colombian striker Juan Alegria, who is expected to move to Ibrox soon.
