Rangers will make a move for Leeds striker Kemar Roofe if they decide to sell Alfredo Morelos this summer, according to reports in Scotland.
The Gers are preparing a list of possible replacements for their current top scorer and are said to be prepared to pay £5m for Roofe in order to recruit the goal poacher.
The 26-year-old bagged 14 goals in 32 league appearances last season for Leeds and has been the Whites’ number one striker for the last two years.
Roofe is, though, heading into the last year of his contract at Elland Road and the Championship side may have to sell up if they can’t tie him down for the long term.
Of course, much will depend on Morelos’s future at Rangers. The Colombian expressed an interest in moving clubs earlier this summer but has also emphasised he is content to stay put in Glasgow.
Despite a number of clubs reportedly being interested, no formal bids have been made for the forward.
