Rangers On Alert As Dutch Speedster Is Made Available For Transfer

Feyenoord winger Crysencio Summerville is now expected to leave the Dutch club after failing to agree a new contract, according to reports in the Netherlands.

Rangers, Wolves, Red Bull Salzburg and Anderlecht were all linked with the 18-year-old earlier this summer after an impressive loan spell at Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag last campaign.

However, Summerville later spoke out to express that while he was happy to be linked with such prestigious clubs, his intention was to sign a new deal and remain at Feyenoord.

With the situation now having changed, Rangers may well look to re-enter the race for the teenager who could be available relatively cheaply considering his contract situation.

Summerville’s current deal expires next summer and it is thought that Feyenoord will now push to sell him on. Whether the Light Blues have the resources to finance the move, it remains to be seen.

The Gers have been linked with a bid for Newcastle winger Jacob Murphy in recent days but that is believed to be a loan deal. Manager Steven Gerrard may have to offload Brandon Barker, Greg Stewart or Jamie Murphy in order to finance a move for a permanent addition like Summerville.
