Rangers Named Among Six Clubs Interested In Signing Champions League Winner

Rangers are one of six teams who are keeping tabs on Liverpool forward Divock Origi, according to reports in the English media.

The Belgian international could be sold by the Reds with Jurgen Klopp’s side looking to raise funds for their own transfer business. His situation has alerted teams such as the Gers, Celtic, Southampton, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

Origi is a cult hero on Merseyside after he scored in the 2-0 win over Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final. He also bagged the first and fourth goals in the 4-0 victory against Barcelona in the semi-final, completing a stunning turnaround after being 3-0 down from the first leg.

However, the 26-year-old’s fortunes have dwindled over the past two years. He scored only once in all competitions last campaign and started just two league games.

Even so, it is hard to see how Rangers would be able to afford Origi, unless they sell Alfredo Morelos this summer.
