Saint-Etienne won’t be making a move for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos in January, according to Le 10 Sport. The French magazine claims that the Ligue One club were interested in making a move when the transfer window reopened.
However, despite sending scouts to see the Colombian international in action against Young Boys and Porto in October, they have cooled their interest in the player.
Rangers’s asking price appears to be too high for Saint-Etienne at this point in time, but the French club may return in the summer if Morelos remains available.
The 23-year-old has had a productive international break, having broken his duck for Colombia by scoring a last-minute winner in the friendly win against Peru last Saturday,
Fans will be hoping Morelos brings that confidence back with him to his club so he can keep on firing in the goals for the Light Blues. He has already scored 22 in 26 games this campaign.
