Rangers Make Important Decision Over Bid For 23 Year Old Midfielder

Rangers will not be making a move for Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Dan Glazer before the transfer window closes, according to reports in the Scottish media.

There had been claims that the Light Blues were pursuing the Israeli international but they are not considering a bid for the 23-year-old, despite being in the market for a holding midfield player.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard has said on more than one occasion this summer that he is keen to strengthen his options in the middle of the park and, while Glazer would fit the bill in terms of his position, the Scottish club are currently looking at other targets.

A bid for Amiens midfielder Bongani Zungu collapsed last month, while the likes of CSKA Sofia’s Kristiyan Malinov, Brest’s Haris Belkebla and Rapid Vienna’s Dejan Ljubicic have all been mentioned as possible alternatives.

Rangers are likely waiting to bring in more funds through player sales before making a move for a new midfielder before deadline day.
