Rangers Maintain Transfer Stance Despite 2 European Giants Targeting 7M Deal For Midfield Lynchpin

Rangers will demand a lot more than £7m to £8m if clubs do make offers for Glen Kamara, according to reports in the UK.

European heavyweights Galatasaray and Marseille are both said to be interested in signing the Finnish international but the Gers have no need to sell the player below their valuation.

The sale of Joe Aribo to Southampton and the impending departure of Calvin Bassey to Ajax mean that the Scottish club are expected to raise nearly £30m from transfer fees this summer.

They are, therefore, in a very strong position to knock back bids for players such as Kamara. The ex-Arsenal academy graduate has been linked with a return to the Premier League over the past year.

The Gunners, along with the likes of Brighton, West Ham, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Southampton have all been mentioned as potential suitors. Despite the apparent interest, though, Rangers have reportedly never received a formal bid. Whether that will change now Galatasaray and Marseille are in the mix, we shall have to wait and see.
