Rangers are plotting a bid for Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Parfait Guiagon, according to reports in Israel.

The Ivorian youth international has been a rotation player this season but the Light Blues have been keeping an eye on his progress.

Guaigon is thought to be open to leaving Tel Aviv this summer and his club are not expected to stand in his way if a suitable bid is made for the player when the transfer window opens.

There are reportedly a number of teams watching the 22-year-old but the Gers may have an advantage due to the identity of Guiagon’s agent.

Dudu Dahan has had his fair share of dealings with Scottish clubs, especially Celtic, with his last deal being the one that saw Liel Abada make the switch from Maccabi Petah Tikva to the Hoops in 2021.

What do we know about Guiagon?

The midfielder came through the ranks of African Sports. He moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv on loan initially in 2019, prior to joining them on a permanent basis a year later.

During his time in Israel, Guiagon had two loan spells at Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam and Maccabi Netanya before returning to play first team football at his parent club last summer.
