Rangers In Poker ‘Game’ With Club President Over 13 Goal Forward As They Refuse To Budge On £4.3M Price Tag

Rangers and Aris Thessaloniki are currently in a “game” of poker over Luis Palma’s asking price, according to Sportime.

The Greek website claim that Thessaloniki president Theodoros Karypidis is holding out for €5m (£4.3m) to sell the Honduran international.

It is believed that he is demanding the full amount upfront, and that has led to a stalemate in negotiations, with the Gers refusing to submit an official offer until the valuation is dropped.

Sportime claim that Michael Beale’s side did have a rival for the 23-year-old’s signature in AEK Athens but the Greek side are not able to afford the winger’s current price tag either.

With that being the case, it appears the Light Blues are waiting for Karypidis to blink and lower his demands. Palma, who has scored 13 goals this campaign, is known to be the Scottish club’s preferred replacement for Ryan Kent.

Rangers have confirmed the departure of Kent and four other players

The club officially announced on Tuesday that Kent will be leaving Ibrox when his contract expires in a week’s time.

Alfredo Morelos, Scott Arfield, Fillip Helander and Allan McGregor will follow him through the exit door.
