Rangers Handed Triple Fitness Boost Ahead Of Borussia Dortmund Clash

Rangers trio Aaron Ramsey, Leon Balogun and Jon McLaughlin are all “expected” to be in the squad for the Bears’ Europa League playoff round second leg against Borussia Dortmund, according to The Scottish Sun.

Ramsey did not play against Brentford in a bounce game yesterday afternoon but he is believed to be in line to make his return to the matchday squad on Thursday following a minor knock.

Balogun has been sidelined for a couple of weeks after limping off in the early stages of the 2-0 win over Hibernian, but he featured against Brentford and should be fit to face Dortmund.

With Filip Helander omitted from the Europa League squad, it means manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst won’t be forced into starting Calvin Bassey at centre-back.

McLaughlin has not been available for the last two matches due to an illness but he will also be able to take his place on the bench at Ibrox later this week.
