Rangers Given Major Transfer Boost In Battle For German Teenage Prodigy

Rangers could yet revive their move for Rochdale winger Kwadwo Baah following reports in England that Manchester City have pulled out of a deal to sign the teenager.

The Light Blues, along with West Ham, Juventus and Bayer Munich were all keen on the German but it was thought that the Citizens had won the race for his signature.

However, an issue in Baah’s medical has led to the Premier League leaders withdrawing their interest. With the 18-year-old still expected to leave Rochdale this summer, it will hand the Gers another chance to sign the player.

The winger has had a decent first full season in senior football. Playing in England’s third tier, he has scored three goals and provided two assists in 22 appearances.

Scouts do, though, believe Baah has the potential to make it at the highest level and Rangers Director of Football Ross Wilson may well reignite the club’s interest now he is free to move.
