Rangers Favourites To See Off Serie A Giants As They Look To Secure £4m Deal

Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi is not looking to leave Ibrox at the end of the season, according to reports in the Scottish media.

There had been claims in Italy that Lazio were interested in the Romanian international, and that the 21-year-old was open to making the switch to Serie A.

However, it is believed Hagi wants to remain at the Light Blues beyond the end of the season when his loan deal comes to an end.

Currently, the Scottish club have the option of signing the attacking midfielder permanently from Racing Genk for £4m in June, and it appears that will happen as things stand.

Manager Steven Gerrard has made it known that he is pleased with Hagi’s performances, while the player’s father, Gheorghe, is also more than happy with his son continuing his development at the Gers.

So, with all those involved keen for a permanent transfer to take place, it would be a big surprise if Lazio were able to muscle in on the deal.
