Rangers Facing Battle In Attempts To Secure Albanian Ace As Club Open Talks Over Transfer

Rangers have a major fight on their hands if they want to sign Hibernian forward Florian Kamberi this summer, according to the Edinburgh Evening News.

The Albanian is being pursued by clubs in Germany, Poland and England, while one unnamed team has already initiated talks with Hibs about signing the 25-year-old.

Kamberi impressed during his brief spell on loan at Rangers but the Light Blues did not include a purchase option which meant the striker returned to Easter Road once the season was curtailed.

Whether the Gers are the team who have opened talks with Hibs, we shall have to wait and see. The Bears have already spent £3m to secure a deal for Ianis Hagi so it would be a surprise if they are considering another significant outlay.

However, the Edinburgh Evening News do suggest that the club who are in discussions about signing Kamberi would like to pay the transfer fee in instalments, which is likely something that Rangers could consider as well.
