Rangers Face Eight Teams (Including Celtic) In Fight To Sign £2m Rated Marksman

Rangers are interested in signing Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes, according to reports in the English media. However, there are eight other clubs who also said to be involved in the battle to sign the forward.

Celtic, as well as the likes of Barnsley, Blackburn Rovers, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Sunderland, Stoke City and Wigan Atheltic, are all believed to be keen on the player.

With Dykes seemingly in such high demand, Livingston are pretty bullish in their valuation of the 24-year-old, making it known to interested teams that they won’t accept less than £2m for the striker.

Such a figure may well put off the Gers, who have already shelled out £3m on Ianis Hagi this summer. However, manager Steven Gerrard is likely to want another forward when the transfer window opens.

Florian Kamberi has returned to Hibernian following his loan spell at Ibrox, leaving the Light Blues with just two out-and-out forwards in Jermain Defoe and Alfredo Morelos.
