Rangers Enter Battle With Aberdeen For England U20 International Fullback

Rangers have joined Aberdeen in the race to sign Derby County fullback Max Lowe on loan next season, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The England U20 international has spent most of the campaign on loan with the Dons and manager Derek McInnes is believed to be keen to snap up the player for another year.

However, Steven Gerrard’s side have also made their interest known, with the Derby defender now expected to choose between the two clubs ahead of next season.

Rams manager Frank Lampard is believed to have already decided to send the 22-year-old out on loan once again with Scott Malone having firmly established himself as the English Championship club’s first choice left-back.

Rangers are said to be looking to strengthen the left side of defence this summer with Borna Barisic failing to impress since his switch from NK Osijek, while Lee Wallace is expected to leave the club when his contract expires next month.
